This essay explores the dynamic intersection between ecofeminism and design. I take a special focus on the role of service design and the use of product design to develop a necessary product. Therefore, I dwell on the transformational potential of incorporating ecofeminist principles into the realm of providing a service to the whole society. This essay navigates the complexities of incorporating ecological conscience, social justice, and ecofeminist perspectives inside the fabric of product and service design.
With this essay, I aim to contribute to a broader conversation on responsible design practices, advocating for a paradigm shift towards services that not only meet user needs but also align with the ethos of ecological equity. It calls for a collaborative and inclusive approach that considers the intricate relationships between humans and nature, seeking a harmonious coexistence that transcends traditional boundaries.
