ECLOO offers a sustainable solution designed to improve hygiene practices and ensure privacy. This innovative unisex portable toilet meets users' needs while ensuring their comfort. This solution not only satisfies current needs, but also promotes a more environmentally friendly future, contrary to current solutions on the market. Apart from the design of the product, a service, business and financial plans were created, along with a roadmap and possible stakeholders partnerships.

This compostable demountable portable toilet solution is easily assembled. The most innovative aspect of this solution is the sliding toilet compartment that can be easily stacked and moved to a specific spot to dump the biomaterial, not requiring a truck nearby, making it easier for maintenance.

Made from recycled plastic, ECLOO reduces landfill impact and conserves natural resources, while supporting a circular economy since the units are easily disassembled and recycled again. Still, this is a robust solution, weather-resistant and long-lasting. Currently, only 10 portable toilets fit in one bigger truck, while this solution fits 35 toilets in a small truck. Therefore, ECLOO reduces in transportation costs and giving more revenue to the company since more toilets are being rented. The target group are public clients, like municipalities and local governments, as well as private clients, such as event organizers and enterprises.

Various interviews were conducted to define all the different problematics in existing solutions, giving a clear pathway to the final design features. The main concern was the lack of cleanliness, unpleasant odors and unsanitary conditions, associated with insufficient ventilation systems. Most portable toilets are also not designed for easy removal of the biomaterial, having difficulty in access with a truck and relying on harsh chemicals. These issues are solved with ECLOO, which offers a sliding toilet compartment, that can be easily stacked and moved to a specific location to dump the biomaterial. Making this a compostable toilet solution with a ventilation system help reduce odours. All these features lead to an easier maintenance.

A distinct design approach is the inclusive toilet seat for all genders. To make this a more comfortable experience, it features a ventilation system, hangers in the entry door and solar powered LEDs for added safety. ECLOO also carries a noticeable sliding vacancy/occupancy feature in the door, to be clear if the toilet is in use or not. A user detailed instructions are laminated in the back wall to keep users informed.
