Plastic Men

The poster here was my submission to the MutZurWut International Poster Competition with the following description statement: "There's a high personification of vibrators and dildos as male and a huge emphasis on penetrative toys when it comes to women's sex toys. This is a symbolic subversion to patriarchal power and how most sex toys companies are founded by men. Sexual pleasure should transcend traditional gender and heteronormative scripts. Women should feel comfortable exploring their narratives across sexual identity and boundaries. PS: Men, get a manual."

'MutZurWut International Poster Competition' is a unique approach to channelling our anger through a creative poster. This rage should reflect and communicate a political or social women's issue in order to raise awareness in society, initiate discussions and move politicians to act. The poster developed explores the masturbation stigma, focusing on the patriarchal aspect behind sex toys.
