ACC-EMHA

Commissioned through a national competition, this branding project defines the visual identity of a newly established clinical center in Aveiro. In honouring Egas Moniz for his achievements in the field of medicine, I focused mainly on creating a logo that would embody the visual associations of these achievements, including cerebral angiography and prefrontal leucotomy.

I took advantage of the frontal lobe, the area of the brain where lobotomy (prefrontal leukotomy) was performed, the texture and pattern created by the cerebral convolutions, as well as the organic nature of the cerebral vessels. The combination of all these elements resulted in a balanced and dynamic logo that will elevate the clinic's status.

A brand identity manual was created, as well as corresponding stationary for the clinic.
